Vice President of Strategic Alliances

Appature is a fast-growing company that is changing the way companies manage customer information and drive marketing results. Our product is used by some of the world’s leading health care organizations and is quickly becoming regarded as one of the most innovative enterprise marketing solutions on the market. We are looking for a Vice President of Strategic Alliances responsible for business development and strategic alliances, including developing, negotiating and managing reseller, service, OEM and other strategic alliances. As part of this role, the VP of Strategic Alliances will lead and manage the creation of our broader alliance strategy and related product offerings. The ideal candidate will be based in the tri-state NY/NJ/PA region or our corporate headquarters in Seattle, WA.

We are looking for a dynamic individual with a track record of success in business development and strategic alliances in enterprise software and software as a service (SaaS), as well as an understanding of and experience with marketing technology and the health care industry. The ideal candidate will be experienced with developing channel relationships, managing partners, and will have led co-marketing and co-selling initiatives. In this full time position, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the world’s leading partner organizations we work with, and have the benefit of an innovative product to achieve success in the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Build-out Appature’s broader alliance strategy.
  • Establish partnerships that support both growing revenue, and delivering customer success.
  • Spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy.
  • Manage multiple business initiatives in a start-up environment.
  • Build and manage a business development team.
  • Manage complex contract negotiation and work with legal counsel as required.
  • Through personal example, promote the style and approach which characterize the Company’s dealings with the marketplace.

Requirements:

  • 10 year’s plus of business development, product management, and/or sales experience.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with early stage companies.
  • A solid understanding of Company’s market: products, players, technologies, and a rolodex of contacts in related markets.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing is required, with an MBA or JD preferred.
  • Strong passion for technology
  • Willing to travel 50%+
